Bad Axe, Michigan (July 8, 1999) – Huron County Abstract Company Inc. has
been purchased by Metropolitan Title Company of Howell, Michigan. The announcement was made jointly by Charles and Judy Morden, President and Vice President respectively of Huron County Abstract and Ken Lingenfelter,
President/CEO of Metropolitan Title Company. According to Morden, the sale of the 52-year old company will allow Huron County Abstract to keep up with the changing responsibilities of the industry. "Metropolitan
Title," Morden said, "provides us with the ability to better meet the needs of all of our customers, which has expanded to include such groups as mortgage brokers and the banking industry. Metropolitan Title brings the
up-to-date technology systems we need, as well as a strong mix of products and services which will benefit our customers and allow us to provide services state-wide." "Huron County Abstract is a good company with a great
